Significant setback for the German startup scene: Compared to the first half of 2022, the total volume of investments was halved to €3.1 billion in the first six months of this year. Berlin remains the hotspot of the German startup ecosystem, accounting for 47% of the total amount of venture capital invested in Germany. In addition, sustainability-related startups received a record 30% of invested capital, with one in five financing rounds going to such a startup. Find out more in the new "EY Startup Barometer".
